:: 2009 ::
I remember having anxiety as early as 4 years old.
I didn't know at the time what this was called, but I have memories of being very anxious.
I was diagnosed with another form of anxiety called Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) after my neck injury in 2002.
I remember having chest pains and palpitations more often earlier in my life. I still get them but not as much. I would ask for EKG's and the results were always normal.
I didn't get an official diagnosis for Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD) until 2009 though.
My life made more sense after this.
I also know that Anxiety runs in the family and has deep roots. Mine is a combination of genetic, environmental and behavioral.
